going forward, a couple of networking questions:

is it possible that RaspAP was responsibile for our ethernet woes on the trip over? If so, maybe we should drop it?
alternatively, maybe we should add an LTE USB modem to our setup and double-down on the Pi as our networking device. examples:
- has some restrictions
- oops, all the other ones I oculd find seem to have lots of restrictions. Likely not a good option, but just putting it out htere for now.

Are these more details to the ethernet problems experienced on the raspberry pis?
