Quick Save to Playlist Shortcut

⚬ PROBLEM:

I don't like when I need to add a lot of videos to a playlist that isn't Watch Later since it's not as quick, I have to go through like 3 clicks to get there every time, I want it to be one easy click (like the mobile version). Also the video player "Save" button is annoyingly in the three dots sometimes, I'd like it if it was out of that menu every time.

⚬ SOLUTION:

A solution I imagined would be making a shortcut on the thumbnail next to Add to Watch Later. You will be asked to choose which playlist you want to make a shortcut for, and it will remember it until you change it. This is similar to the mobile version where all you need to do is tap "Save" on a video and it will quickly save it to the last playlist you selected (a shame you have to do it manually on PC). On PC, sometimes the Save button below a video player is hidden away in the three-dots annoyingly, there should be a way to force it to be out of the menu all the time.

⚬ ALTERNATIVES: Also make the same functionality available when clicking on the three dots of any video; a button called "Quick Save to Playlist", beside "Add to Watch Later" and "Save to Playlist".

⚬ RELEVANCE / SCOPE:

For people who manage a lot of playlists this would be good.

Not everyone manages playlists as much but it doesn't hurt to have a quicker shortcut i guess. ⚬ _CONTEXT_:

Question: does this feature exist in Pockettube, or Pockettube for Playlists

• What should we do next generally?
  • As open source we prefer making unique features or better unique thoughts.
  • Personal data matters.
  • Just running after YouTube layout changes can be most frustrating for developers.
  • In comparison Pockettube is half as old and has less than half as many users, yet they have enough subscribers to pay developers, while we are still earning zero.
