Can confirm that. First time opening page, the video pauses and cant play. Reloading the page, the video pauses and can be unpaused then.
For me reloading the page doesn't change anything, the video immediately pauses when trying to play. Turning Player > 'Force Autoplay Off' to off (thus allowing autoplay) only works for regular videos, but videos which are part of a playlist still automatically get paused until the Playlist > Autoplay option is turned on.
Anyway I think I should answer the standard questions as well:
Firefox version 129.0.1 (flatpak)
Player> Force autoplay off to be enabled (for regular videos) Playlist> Autoplay to be disabled (for playlist videos)
Not logged in.
(Sorry I tried to find this thingy but have no idea where to get it :-P)
With > Player Force autoplay off,
Expanded a couple of XHRGET thingies in case they are helpful. Note that I have other extensions installed, though not anything specific for youtube, and I disabled Ublock Origin for this webpage prior to opening console, reloading the page and capturing this output.
Video doesn't auto-pause immediately after starting playback.

hi and thanks! @Gravemind2015 @xeros-and-ones @Leokosta77
interestingly, we didn't change this. And similar was reported long ago already but not multiple people at once.
@Gravemind2015 you enabled the fit to window button there is an error with that in Firefox. (Today, until Mozilla send you our latest update you, you can try disable that feature) (This doesn't happen in Chrome though.)
Concise Description
when the option force autoplay off in the player section of the settings is turned on, it does autopause the videos as intended, but i can't play the video, if i hit space or click with the mouse it gives the loading white circle in the player section and that's it
