Sequential fanart lookup not responsive to the current user selection on Live TV screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Settings -> Fanart -> Click on clear cache button
2. Goto Live TV screen
3. Scroll down to the last channel

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Actual:
Fanart for the show on the last channel is not retrieved until all previous 
channels have been processed. This can take quite a bit of time time depending 
on the number of channels.

Expected:
Fanart for the currently selected channel should be retrieved prior to all 
others.
