OS X Log is not stored in the standard location #136

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Do anything that creates a log.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The log will be stored in the users logs folder. On OS X, this is 
~/Library/Logs. This is also where XBMC stores their logs on OS X.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mac OS X 10.6.5
Dharma RC2
Mythbox R1370996e1e

Please provide any additional information below.
If the user does not have write access to the /Applications folder, the log 
will not be created at all. (This will also not create an error, but the log 
should still be created).
