Whats your FE/BE setup? Any BE slaves in the mix? Client side log would be
helpful.

Sorry there is no slaves in the mix
FE was running on an AMD based Ubuntu 8.10 system with Nvidia 6800
BE running Mythbuntu 9.10 on an Intel based system
Unfortunately I upgraded my FE to mythbuntu 9.10 and installed xbmc 9.11 but now
Mythbox is slow as molases it takes 10 seconds for it to respond to any input.
I give up !

Have you listed the directory Mythtv 0.22 uses for livetv recording in the
mythbox
settings? If you haven't (I missed it the first time through) this will produce
the
symptoms you are seeing. Check your storage directories in the Mythtv backend
and add
the livetv path to the 'recording directory(s)' field in Mythbox settings.
Hope yours is quick fix like this,
Dan

Hi.
I'm seeing this in my setup as well. Currently I using Myth-0.22+fixes on
Ubuntu 9.10
as the BE and Mythbox with the latest xbmc-svn build available for Ubuntu by
team-xbmc
ppa (https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc-svn) for the FE. I have attached my
mythbox.log
file as well as my setting.xml file. The directory listing in the settings.xml
is an
NFS mounted directory.

Yes my directory for live tv was set to the same as the recording directory.
I was reading for like 3 days searching forums and all.
I guess I will wait for XBMC to come out with their unified PVR distro.
BTW I do have my xbox working with myth2xbmc script and working just fine with
the
last stable babylon version of xbmc the latest svn gave me rendering issues and
utf-8
conversion warnings.

Aksor, can't help ya if you don't attach your xbmc.log
Mark Birnie, I haven't tried out the latest xbmc svn but looking at mythbox.log
I
didn't see anything unusual. xbmc.log would have more detail.

Here's my xbmc.log. Sorry, but I don't have xbmc debugging turned on.

FYI I'm using XBMC Live with the latest mythbox script everything is working
except
for the livetv.
I have configured my mythbackend 0.22 storage options as follows
recordings /var/lib/mythtv/recordings
livetv /var/lib/mythtv/livetv
I then cifs shared them as recordings and livetv
I've locally mounted both the recordings and livetv samba shared folders from
the
backend and added them to the mythbox recording path as
/mnt/recordings:/mnt/livetv
I hope that is the proper way of doing it
anyways I attached the log files as requested
just a note for some reason in the xbmc log the livetv section is looking for
the
stream as myth://xxxx:xxxx@ip/channels/channel.ts and my livetv streams have
mpg
extensions!
Thanks

Your log file indicates you're using XBMC 9.04. However, 9.04 is not supported.
As
stated in the README, XBMC 9.11 is required. Re-open if you have a problem w/
9.11
