Wish: More convenient shortcuts editing

Change the way how could be every shortcut modified.
Typing shortcut as pure text is not good because of "unknown" rules...

For instance how to make shortcut for Ctrl with arrow down key?
Could it be "Ctrl+ArrowDown", "Ctrl+Down", "Ctrl+ArrowDn"?
Or with spaces "Ctrl+Arrow Down", "  Ctrl +  Down"?
Could it be english or localized as it is displayed in menu?

You can take inspiration in KDE Control Centre...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
