Error #1016, exporting texture maps error in 3DS 2013 (every other thing works perfectly, so it's weird) #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When i export my poly object (Stack, Poly + UVW Unwrap) it will give me

Error #1016: Texture "sceneassets\images\***.jpg" in the material "Default" was
not found. Reselect the texture in Material Editor.

The same if i collapse my model to a mesh, so that's not the problem.
the problem is, the texture map IS applied in the material editor and in the
model, and max displays it OK. So why does the exporter not find the correct
path to it?

2. If I put a blank material (without a difuse texture map from a file) it will
export fine and dandy, so the problem IS when the exporter looks for the
texture map file.

3. I've tried with different file paths (loading the texture map for the 3DS
material from c:, fromt the "Archives" project folder, from the desktop, puting
it in the same folder as the scene I'm trying to export and many more options.

4. So my question would be, What's the standard file path in wich the exporter
looks for the image files?
It's a "noob" question, but I couldn't find the apropiate documentation on the
topic (everything in the forums seems far more advanced)

- What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using SEA3D 1.3.1.0 on 3DS Max 2013 (64x) in Windows 7 (also 64 bit)

Sea3D is great BTW!

Hi Juan.

Thank you for your feedback and sorry the delay.

Unfortunately in 3ds Max when the texture is not where in your original path he
does a search and applies the texture closest found but not update the new path
in the Material Editor.

Is there an easy way to correct the path in:

1. 3ds Max.
2. Command Panel
3. Utilities
4. (More...) Bitmap/Photometric Paths
5. Edit Resources...

The following shown in the image.

Cheers.
