Model Transparency #61

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Spawn any prop
2. Add Advanced Gyro-Pod, use Assembler, Some other things
3. Get in vehicle attached to Gyro-Pod
4. Exit vehicle
5. Look at model

What should happen? What actually happens?
Pretty sure that cover the reproduction of the issue, but not sure as it
happens many times and other ways. Didn't happen before SBEP was installed.
The Model becomes partially transparent like in the attached sceen. Makes
Gyro less appealing as the model looks terrible.

What version are you using (if SVN give revision number)?
SVN revision 339

Please provide any additional information below.

OP here, just another thought.

I've been getting wonky physics ever since i installed Spacebuild 3 and other
necessary addons. I dont know if it's SBEP or other addons goin wonky. Will try
on
vanilla GMod ASAP.

figured it out, it was Spacebuild or one of the other CAF addons

please look into it and make sure its not a bug on your part (dont see how it
could
be, but it is garrysmod)

This is an awesome project and I hope to see all the little bugs worked out
Without this we'd still be making ships with PHX and lag all over the solar
system

I also experience this problem and it really annoys me. Everything went fine
before,
but now I wanted to install all that spacebuild3-stuff and did so via SVN.

The messed up physics don't seem to be connected to the GyroPod, it also
happens to
me before I spawn a gyropod.
But I am pretty sure the fault is at SBEP because I firstly installed sbep in a
wrong
directory and everything was alright then. Now I installed sbep and I get
messed up
physics and transparency flaws... it makes the game pretty unusable. Some things
don't seem to be affected, most objects appear to be extremely lagging (most PHX
stuff won't move correctly and seems to be frozen or something), and some
objects are
really messed up (the standard HL2 buggy is fuzzing and flying all around o_O).

Okay according to this post here
(http://archive.snakesvx.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=427) it's CDS' fault
and not
SBEP's.
I think this bug ticket can be closed here because the problem is not on sbep's
side.

indeed, it was CDS3s fault...
oh well, SBEP is still the most awesome mod in the community!
*goes to build a ship in gmod*
