Uncomment shortcut doesn´t work #1341

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Comment a text or go to a commented text.
2. Press Ctrl + u
3. Nothing is happening.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ctrl + u should uncomment the text, instead nothing is happening.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Texmaker 4.3 on Win 7 professional (64bit)

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to use other (user-defined) shortcuts which also don´t work.
I updated to texmaker version 4.3 before I was running 4.1.1 which had the same
issue, therefore the update.

That's because you have chosen ctrl+U for an other action in the shortcut
configuration (shortcut conflict)

I looked carefully at all entries in the Texmaker configuration, ctrl+U is not
used for other shortcuts. Also changing the uncomment function to other
combinations, like ctrl+alt+o which is also unused, does not help.
Maybe the problem has to do with the used Qt 5.2.1 or Poppler 0.22.5, like in
issue 1301?

Are you sure that you have selected some text before use ctrl+U?

Thanks, This solves the problem!
Actually I didn´t select the text before using ctrl+u. It would be nice to
have the uncomment function working without the need of selecting the text,
like in matlab.
