Texmaker session file misses extension when given filename contains a dot #1451

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Choose to store the current session
2. Enter a filename containing a dot, e.g. report-14.04

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A session file named "report-14.04.tks" should be created. Instead the file is 
named "report-14.04" without file extension.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.4.1

Please provide any additional information below.
When storing Texmaker sessions the tks extension should be automatically added 
to the filename, if not already given.
