GrooveWalrus won't open #108

I just did a clean install of vista on this computer.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Doubleclicking on the Grooveshark icon

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It opens a dialog box saying:
|----
|[[Errors occurred]
|----
|The logfile 'C:\Program Files\GrooveWalrus\gw.exe.log' could not be opened:
|[Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:\\Program Files\\GrooveWalrus\\gw.exe.log'
|---

After having given myself administrator rights over the c:\pf\GrooveWalrus map,
the error turned into this:
[[Errors occurred]] - See the logfile 'C:\Program Files\GrooveWalrus\gw.exe.log'

The logfile looked like this in both cases:
----
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "gw.py", line 22, in <module>
  File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in <module>

  File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in <module>

  File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in <module>

File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load

ImportError: DLL load failed: Kan opgegeven module niet vinden. ['can not find
given module']
----

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tried both 334 an 335, same result. Running on a fresh vista install with
barely no software installed just yet.

Any idea what is going on? (:

Maybe try the .zip version, of 0.335. Ummm, it may need the files in the
\Microsoft.VC90.CRT directory copied to the same dir that gw.exe is in. Or you
might try finding the installer from Microsoft.com that might contain those
files and install that.

Thank you for the quick reaction! I think GrooveWalrus simply didn't like the
young vista. After one hella long update on the vista side (I think it might've
installed Service Pack 1 or something) I tried to open it right away and it
didn't give any warnings whatsoever, directly through to the API key and it
plays songs that come through the search box.

It doesn't play files queued through the 'album' tab (makes the GrooveShark
light turn yellow), it does play the files when I search for them one by one.
If no one is able to replicate I think I'm gonna wait some longer and see if
Vista sorts it out by yourself.
Oh and you're a fucking hero for making this awesome piece of software.

I can confirm that (at least after, but might've happened earlier -) after
Service Pack 2 was in place I can play everything through the album tab too!
Resolved!! :D
