No files in list on SVT play. #452

Did you search "All Issues" and not just the "Open Issues" to see if your
problems was already solved or discussed before? Duplicate issues are
annoying so make sure you check the most recent (open and closed) issues
before posting a new one!

What channel are you trying to watch?
SVT play

What episode are you trying to watch?
Any

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Nothing in list

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install version 3.3.6
2.
3.

What version of XBMC are you using? On what operating system?
Version 3.3.6 on XBOX 1

Please provide any additional information below.
If I install older version 3.3.5 everything workes fine again...

Please ATTACH a complete DEBUG uzg.log or uzgplugin.log and add an
xbmc.log. Without a logfile issues cannot be fixed. Wondering where
you can get them? Read it here:

You will have to provide a logfile, as already mentioned. I don't own an xbox1, 
so I really need a logfile.

Apparently the class that handles all the Url fetching is not 100% Python 2.4 
compatible. Please try the attached version and let me know the results.

Hi again,

Works fine with new file installed!!!! :-)
Even SVT "Öppet arkiv" new feature works fine.
Only problem now is that sometimes starting a program the XBOX hangs and I have 
to restart it (hard reset). I had it before when there was a program with 
subtitle. The solution was to disable subtitle in settings.xml file.
This doesn´t seem to work anymore...?!?
Subtitle havent worked for a while now. It would be magic if it could be fixed.

Uploading a new log file if you can check this.

Using this software almost daily. Many thanks for your help.

Could you please try to use XOT-Uzg.v3 as a plugin instead of script? See here:

Is is a bit nicer for memory usage. The freezing is very often caused by a lack 
of free memory.

Hi again,

Thanks for the tip but when I install it as a plugin it wont even load It hangs 
the XBOX when I try to launch it...?!?!

Håkan, do you run on the XBMC4XBOX 3.3 with Confluence Lite? Maybe that 
version have more free memory? I also did have memory problem when running 
Confluence instead of PM3.

Hi,

I´m running PM3 as the skin (project mayhem). When I upgraded to 3.3 it kept 
my skin.
I will try with Confluence lite to see if there is a difference.

Still I don´t get subtitle to work with SVT play on XBOX. Does this work with 
XBMC on other plattforms...?!?!

I´m still one of those guys that are magically impressed that I still have so 
much use for an XBOX 1 on a daily basis when it´s almost 10 years old...

The subtitle works perfect on SVTPlay on XBMCbuntu and Windows 7. I do have 
some minor problems with Öppet arkiv but Bas have recently added some fixes 
for it so i can't tell if they works 100% yet.
I abandon my XBOX (i still have 3 in my closet) because i want to use higher 
resolutions, but i agree it's the best multimedia there was, not STOCK of 
course :)

I am going to assume this issue to be fixed, at least issue with the listing. I 
will probably need to do a full release for this, or include this update in a 
future channel update.

I released an update for this. It's the first time I use the internal library 
update feature of XOT-Uzg.v3. If all is well, after the update and the first 
run you will end up with a file called "resources/libs/urihandler.py-3.3.6.1" 
and it should have the same content as the "resources/libs/urihandler.py" file.

Please let me know if this is working for you all and that those two files 
exist.

Hi,

Maybe I´m not understand what you mean. I do not have a XXXXX-3.3.6.1 
file...?!?!
I did a channel update for swedish channels on my XBOX to 3.3.6.4 and 
everything seems to work still.
I tried the option to update XOT but there was no new version available...
I´m happy :-)

Håkan, please set the log level to DEBUG from the add-on settings of 
XOT-Uzg.v3 and then run it once (list the channels). Attach the full 
uzg(plugin).log here so I can have a look.

Hi again,

Enabled debug log in settings and did a listing of programs in SVT play list.
And tried to update channels and XOT.
Still I´m using XOT as a script not plugin...!!! When I run it as a plugin it 
loads 90% and then hangs...

You need to enable debug logging for XOT-Uzg.v3, not XBMC.

Oh, and please install ALL updates. The one you at least need is the 
net.rieter.xot.channel.mtg-3.3.6.2 one and make sure you restart XOT-Uzg.v3 
after you downloaded the updates.

make sure you start XOT-Uzg.v3, then via the add-on settings change it to debug 
settings (don't forget to click OK), then completely exit XOT-Uzg.v3 and 
restart it. The logfile should be a lot larger and have DEBUG statements in it.

Yes I restart the XBOX completely.

But when I try to update MTG and Swedish channels nothing happens.
When I update the other channels I see progress and then they disappear from 
the list.
If I now run "update channels" I see MTG and Swedish channels?!?!
Can I update these manually? Is this beacause we change the urihandler.py file 
to get SVT to work?

Getting there. Could you please try this new urihandler.py, it should fix the 
issue with the updating.

version that does not fix the No List issue. My bad, it's late already. Try

Just mentioning:
With the urihandler.py you just got me. SVT play stopped working like before. 
No files in list. Öppet arkiv doesn´t work either.

I understand this is just for debugging but I though I should mentioning it.

Hi,

The listing of files of SVT seems to work now.
But update of channels does not. On the MTG update I get "update failed".
When I update Swedish channels it seems to work and ask me to restart XOT. I 
restart my XBOX but when I choose Update channels, the update is still 
there...?!?!

I really have no clue why it fails for you. So let's take the easy way: if you 
re-download XOT-Uzg.v3 from the site, delete all from your xbox and then 
reinstall it, it should all be working fine, with the updates (as they are 
included in the download). If you wait about an hour, you will have the most 
recent updates include, as we are sending out a bunch now).

Hi,

Downloaded latest package 3.3.6.zip and removed the original directory.
Everything works fine. SVT play list, öppet arkiv, even subtitles on a SVT 
program.
When I check for update channel there are no new so maybe we see what happens 
next time there are any new.
(sometimes when entering "settings" it just hangs on my XBOX, this behavior I 
have seen for a long time so it´s not new. I have to edit the user data file 
manually then)

Attaching debug log from system after the update if it´s any use.

Good to hear it's working now. The settings issue is typically an XBMC4Xbox 
issue. Perhaps you can address this at the XBMC4Xbox forum?
