@sarahshamiso and @markbrough I talked to AfDB and they have updated their data on 14 October and can see that aid and finance types are reported at the transaction level for disbursements: https://www.afdb.org/sites/default/files/iati/iatitanzaniadata.xml See an example:
As I understand, there were changes to their systems which might have caused the issue. Let me know if data is still missing for specific activities and I will double check and get back to AfDB.
Amazing - thanks @PetyaKangalova. Indeed this seems to have updated nicely in Datastore Classic already: https://datastore.codeforiati.org/api/1/access/activity.xml?reporting-org=XM-DAC-46002&recipient-country=TZ&limit=1
However,
(1) there are still some transactions (appears to be Government of Tanzania counterpart funding) that are missing aid types / finance types:
See for example this activity: https://datastore.codeforiati.org/api/1/access/activity.xml?unwrap=True&iati-identifier=46002-P-TZ-A00-002
(2) the AfDB reporting organisation code has changed from 46002
to XM-DAC-46002
, but the IATI Registry publisher account has not yet been updated to reflect this change. Please can this be done, as various tools rely on this data?
Many thanks!!

Thanks @markbrough and @andylolz . Yes, the organisation identifier is now correct on the IATI Registry. I'll follow-up with AfDB about the example you shared above. I cross-checked and indeed the finance and aid type are missing.

Definitely still an issue. I combined the outputs from CDFD to get a full picture of AfDB data to try and assess if there was some kind of trend to the omission of aid and finance types. Didn't immediately see one but attaching if anyone else wants to take a look. AfDB_finance aid type issues.xlsx

Explanation of the issue
I'm preparing data for the government of Tanzania and downloaded the TZ transactions file from CDFD on 29 Sept. This data contained aid and finance type for all AfDB transactions. Then on 10 Oct I downloaded the files again and aid and finance type are still there for outgoing commitments but missing for disbursements.
URLs / screenshots
Discussed with @markbrough and he shared the following screenshots of the XML showing that this data is reported for commitments but not for disbursements. No default aid/finance type is reported either.

Additional context
When orgs don't report this data it makes it very difficult for a government to use it, particularly finance type which categorizes the resources between grants and loans. In the case of Tanzania, there is interest in analyzing the allocation of grants vs loans over time and this is very difficult to do when $186 million in resources (for 2020 only) are not allocated to one of these categories. Also, for data users, this kind of unpredictable removal of needed data is what creates lack of trust in the data.
