[PROJECT IDEA] IATI equivalent of OKFN’s Bad Data #23

Rationale

My concern is: people are totally unaware of egregious publishing errors. Even the publishers in question may well be unaware! So doing a bit more to make these issues public could be helpful.

Proposal

Real world examples of bad IATI data, with an explanation of how this causes confusion/misinterpretation/other problems for a data user.

It’s not exactly the same, but I think IATI data bugtracker goes some of the way to delivering this.

I think going any further in that direction risks becoming a name and shame, which is probably not a good path to go down.

I’ve amended the issue templates on IATI data bugtracker to try and capture this ticket a bit more, but apart from that I’m going to mark this as done (even though it is not exactly the same as the proposed solution!)
