[PROJECT IDEA] Public Press Kit #40

Rationale

It is great to see IATI data being used out there!

However, we find that people are struggling to get the kind of data they need from the myriads of places to get the data. This is because lots of people have different kinds of data needs that can be out-of-scope for the platforms they are looking at.

At least from d-portal's perspective. We try to point people to places that should help; ie. datastore but it would be nice to point to a helpful page that has more information beyond that.

Proposal

I wonder if we can get something like a Press kit for data you get from Code for IATI projects for people like journalists, analysts, citizen scientists, etc about what there is and what you can get; ie. a friendly starting point for how to get the data you need from IATI via CFI projects.

The perspective would be a guide for a complete beginner to IATI that can point to where the advanced information could be.

And it might grow into something closer to the above proposal. As it stands, it seems still rather technical for an average user (though, to be honest, I do not have any idea what the average user of IATI is).
