For soon to be college graduates #11

I was wondering whether new graduates (I'm a college senior starting this fall) typically apply to this program, because it's not really in sync with the academic calendar year. If I applied this summer, then I'd miss the last semester of my senior year. If I applied next summer, I'd most likely already have plans for at least the next year or so following graduation.

@vgu888 thanks for posting here! While we certainly have some people who come into the Fellowship directly from university programs, all of the Fellows have significant experience in their disciplines (whether as developers, designers, architects, anthropologists, or what have you) prior to coming to Code for America. I would definitely encourage you to apply. You can get a sense for some of the backgrounds Fellows have on our website at http://codeforamerica.org/geeks/our-geeks/2014-fellows/ . Because of the wide variety of circumstances Fellows are coming from, the Fellowship calendar is not specifically tailored to the traditional academic calendar.
