Greetings CfA!

Just curious if this second round of the application process takes place before or after you review our resume/portfolio info. I imagine after?

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing what comes next.

alexanderstran commented 10 years ago

Hi @gtreviranus, we review them simultaneously and then go through a review process. Thanks!

Thanks!

If the 2nd round is reviewed in conjunction with portfolios, what does "blind" mean? (i.e. "These are simple exercises that will be rated blind by our tech team.")

migurski commented 10 years ago

The reviews are blind in the sense that we don't look at names or other application details when reviewing the submissions. We assign a go/no-go rating to each one based only on the work.

"We assign a go/no-go rating to each one based only on the work."

Just to be super clear, "the work" refers to second round exercise, case studies, resume, and portfolio?

migurski commented 10 years ago

That’s right, yes! “No-go” means that someone’s chosen exercise isn’t up to snuff. They may be a Go in some other area and not necessarily out of the running.

Very interesting! Thanks for your quick replies. :)
