Nominations & Applying #6

Good Morning,

I have a question in regards to the nomination process. My manager with the City of Raleigh nominated me for the fellowship this year however I am a PhD student (Community Psychology) with some course work left to finish up this year. I am definitely interested in applying for the 2015 fellowship year when I will be done with classes and free to travel. My question is should my manager nominate me again the following year? I didn't want to simply ignore the nomination especially since I am very interested and excited about this opportunity.

Thanks for your insight!

Hi Brittney,

If your manager nominates you next year, that would be great – but it is certainly not a requirement for your application! You should definitely apply next year, and you might want to put your manager's name in the "How did you hear about Code for America?" box.

Hope that helps!

@BrittneyCofieldPoole I just noticed this post from last year's session. I'm currently a Fellow in Chattanooga, TN, and would definitely encourage you to apply for the 2015 fellowship :) :+1:
