Tasks:

[x] Need advice on how to transition this
[ ] I'll follow up with a list of potential content. Both simple concepts and cool civic tech examples, Azure or not.
[x] Meet up in person at a upcoming Code for San Francisco Hack Night. Perhaps 4/20
[ ] Find existing recorded content for the simple tasks, like starting a VM.
[ ] Pre-record some of the content, mostly at the Reactor.
[ ] Have a practice of the webinar portion. Perhaps 5/17
[ ] Promote the webinar
[ ] Host the real event. Perhaps 5/24.
[ ] Cross post from Channel 9 to Code for America's blog.

ON 03/21 I wrote to Scott form msft.

To prepare for that, I'd like to get a "How to civic tech on Azure" webinar set up. Ideally, it'd be someone from your team paired with a few Brigade captains who have used Azure. Doing so before National Day of Civic Hacking would be the most valuable, as it will help the groups get it all set up and available for their big events.

The content could be:

Introductions

Microsoft / CfA

Civic Tech on Azure examples

How to get it set up for your Brigade / Fellowship

Other Microsoft civic tech efforts

The list of potential Brigades:

Jim Fleet from Charlotte.
- They built this thing which should be live soon. http://www.codeforcharlotte.org/projects/cmpd_holiday_gift_project
- http://wintergift-app.codeforcharlotte.org/login
- They also host Jenkins on Azure. It helps other projects.
Brad Weikel from ABQ. No civic tech examples but lots of Azure experience.
Code for SF's Data Science team. I think they use Azure for their stuff.
Definitely do another round of asking on Slack.
