long embed load time -- maybe this is a cfapi issue?

It takes a while to load many embedded Issues. 20 seconds? See: http://18f.github.io/hackathontrainingday/

I am not sure if this is related to the cfapi or the fix in #22, but wanted to flag it. Thank you for all your work on this.

I found the cause in the CfAPI (https://github.com/codeforamerica/cfapi/issues/151) and its hard to fix. I'm on it.

I've fixed this temporarily. If the bug is left though, then in a month it will be all slow again.
