We could definitely design the confirmation page with this in mind. Not sure how perfectly it will print in v4, but we can get started.
I accidentally opened a duplicate issue here and gave this description:
To discuss. This has been requested a couple times from a couple CBO users. This would (1) allow users to print out the officially submitted application for later reference (unclear how often people would actually print/reference), and (2) increase trust/transparency in how Clean works. We could address the second issue in other ways instead or in addition to this.
Question: do we want to offer printing, downloading, or email (to user)? Seems like on phone-based browsers an email makes the most sense, but for desktop users printing/download is probably optimal. Just want to call this out as a specific design consideration.
Let’s consider this for current sprint but will depend on how much you (@daguar) want to dedicate to refactoring and testing.
Reassigning to @alanjosephwilliams temporarily to do a bit of research to better understand the actual problem and some better possible solutions (particularly for mobile).
Stephanie of CA Assoc of Food Banks noted that sometimes clients need to prove when they submitted the initial application in order to get back-dated benefits. This is rare but important. Liliana confirmed many assisters would print and store this information for their (and or the client's) records. I think it is okay to ignore verification docs for this case.
I don't think this is v4 but have it on your radar. And @alanjosephwilliams consider if/how to incorporate this into the confirmation page (or whatever is left of it).
