Distribute print materials for recruitment #39

Design a 1-page 8.5 by 11 flier for distribution at public library branches (and potentially grocery stores?)

I'll be looking for assistance on distribution from @lippytak @daguar. Maybe @mollymcleod can give me feedback on the design tomorrow at Studio.

Locations to distribute:

[ ] Market St Safeway
[ ] Public library branches (Western Addition, Mission, Bayview )
[ ] Tenderloin groceries, Bayview Groceries
[ ] Others?

Other locations: -Civic Center BART station -Convenience stores in the surrounding area

good suggestions @gabbyjones! Will definitely hit those up.

For v2, w will like try some screening/onboarding via SMS (Using Textit.in) rather than via the web—catching more folks while they are passing by, and catching more folks that don't have web access on their phones. Should help improve our recruitment in a diversity of locations.

Interesting experience distributing flyers today. A few thoughts that came to mind:

empty newspaper infrastructure seems like an opportunity. I'm going to test that out on Market St tomorrow.
Walgreen's is an ideal retailer, but they have no public bulletin area or anything to that effect. In the longer run, we might look at Walgreen's as a partner, similar to how we've been thinking about Wal-mart.
I'm going to try e-mailing on the branch libraries tonight, and attaching the PDF. Advertising this immediately made sense to folks at MEDA, Tenderloin Technology Lab, and CASC—hopefully it will make sense to branch library staff as well. I'm not sure how they'll feel about being asked to print though.

Future print collateral will focus on recruiting for the user testing pool generally, or future specific events. As such, I'm now closing this issue.
