Currently the app is oriented towards browsing patients but based on user testing people would want different initial actions.
User categories and their initial needs:
assisters (case managers, navigators)
We assume they're most concerned about making referrals. Most likely initial action would be entering new patient / initiating a new referral.
screeners (i.e. front desk staff at Daily planet)
Most concerned with reviewing patients as they come in (through email or in person). Most likely entry point would be an email link to a patient's details OR looking for the details of walk-in patient.
Browsing patients page could reinforce the email by listing patients they need to take action on.
administrators (Amy)
Most likely would want to browse patient status with an eye towards what actions are needed by staff and staff performance.
One thing: With the different needs above we could potentially create a single splash page with expanding search section.
