I had set the list BG to a white to light yellow gradient in the ui-dev branch, trying to pick up on the color of the logo and add a little texture to the list. Don't like?

Either is fine with me. (Actually the light yellow is probably a little nicer.) I just think the list and the infobox should match. I was mostly interested in stopping the item text from moving when selected, which I fixed by adding a default #fcfcfc margin on unselected items to match the maroon on selected ones. I wasn't sure how to get that to match a top-bottom gradient.
