…or OpenStreetMap. This would be more aligned with the open data mission of Code for BTV. But, whatever tool works best for the project.
@BigHeavyJim had suggested using Google Maps because google donated the BHW servers
I believe we are currently using open street map tile layers via the leaflet implementation.

This doesn't look like its going to happen. It was primarily motivated by the fact that google donated the servers but I'm not sure thats a compelling reason to use their libraries. Also there are not the resources to rewrite the code on top of google maps.
