I met with the abatement team today and made some updates to this list. My notes to developers are in brackets. Let me know if you have questions. Thank you!!!

We are currently planning on focusing on the Priority Zone from 12th to 39th Streets along Prospect and four blocks east and west of Prospect. This tool will serve a few functions:

  1. Pre-abatement inspections and area survey
  2. Track abatement work and locations of graffiti
  3. Post-abatement inspection
  4. Track time spent on activities
  5. If time allows, an externally facing app where people can report graffiti

Data fields for #2. Track abatement work and locations of graffiti [can we save data with the ability to enter more data or edit data at a later date?] Date (can this be automatically populated?) This can be pulled from Open Data or the Neighborhood Dashboard app]

Date of Contact with Owner [date field] Owner Name [Can all of this owner information be pre-populated from the City’s Parcel Viewer database and the Rental Registration list? That would be awesome!!] Owner Phone
Owner Email

Tenant Name Tenant Contact Phone or Email

Owner Waiver Completed [Can we have the owner sign the waiver in the app? That would be awesome!!]

Follow up with Owner Needed? CPTED Recommendations: Lighting, Fencing, Brush Removal, Camera Installation, Other

Number of Nearby Businesses Inform about Abatement? [number field] Number of Nearby Residents Inform about Abatement? [number field] Follow-up Needed to Nearby Businesses and Residents: [checkbox and text field]

Data fields for #3. Post-Abatement Inspections Date of Inspection [automatically populate?] Graffiti Present? [yes or no] [Take picture, ability to choose from list of addresses where graffiti already abated] Square Footage of New Graffiti [allow user to fill in same graffiti data as above]

Data fields for #4. Track time spent on activities [two ways to enter data: time per property or time spent for a batch of properties] Time Spent on Each Activity • Survey / Inspection • Site Prep • Set Up • Abatement • Break Down and Clean-Up • Outreach

Time Spent for Survey / Inspection for Multiple Properties • Time • Properties [checkbox multiple properties]

Processes Survey and look for graffiti Look for recurrence Internally record occurrences Residents record occurrences

Reporting Record graffiti occurrences and recurrences before and after Tie in with 311 data

Goals Did this allow new business to move in? Abate and beautify, make area more aesthetically pleasing - blend in, not blend Reduce graffiti and vandalism and the reoccurrence Reduce amount businesses and residents have to spend on abatement

Thanks for the list!

For the person working on this, do not worry about doing it all in one pull request! This will be split up into several issue!

TO ADD LATER

Would be great if we could have a report generated: 1) abatement needed list - locations of graffiti that need to be abated. Marlon could go out and do an inspection sweep of the area location all graffiti to be abated at a later date. 2) abated list - locations of graffiti that has been abated in a certain date period 3) report by address - pictures and history of graffiti and abatement

Generate letter to owner with a copy of the waiver they signed and then CPTED recommendations.

@AmandaWilsonKC Can you be more descriptive of what the evidence is?

AmandaWilsonKC commented 6 years ago

Shoot @JakeLaCombe, I don't remember what Marlon and I were thinking with capturing and describing evidence. I guess you can skip that one.
