Updating volunteer page wording #121

This PR:

Resolves #120

Moved text from Self-Onboarding & Initial Contact to Additional Onboarding Info

Screenshots (if applicable):

Future Steps/PRs Needed to Finish This Work (optional):

Also changed the wording of a couple of lines. I felt that messaging us on Discord "will likely yield a swift response" might come off as weirdly noncommittal. As though we aren't really sure how active or responsive we are. Can be changed back.

Wouldn't that just point to the pass contribution? Can we have contribution guide lines was CODE PDX?

Description of how some one can contribute and then say for the respective project please check them out

current changes are fine but can you also update the link to the wiki in the contribute section. it currently is just a link to github. I think replacing it with https://github.com/codeforpdx/PASS/wiki/Development#contribution-guidelines would be good enough for now.

Yes that points to the pass contribution, currently it is just pointing to the main github page so its an improvement over that. To my knowledge that is the most comprehensive contributing guidelines we have. This is something that could be added as its own section on the website with more generic instructions. Either that or we have to make a repo to make a generic contributing wiki.

Point it to Pass - defo an improvement. We should think for a general contributing repo.

With more projects coming on we should build out a project management structure, which includes info about github as well - one of them the contribution guidelines. But that's a thing down the line
