Issue

It is common practice for Korean companies to requires a picture on their applicant resume. The picture is then used to select candidates for interview people based on their appearance instead of their actual skills.

Proposed Solution

Create a label that would promote equal access to interviews. Companies could then display a logo on their website and use it for PR.

One of the concerns raised about this project was how to get buy-in from company HR and legal depts.

I spoke with a friend who works for a large international company. The regional office head is receptive to western-style business practices (they adopted Agile Scrum even though they're not a software shop) and so might be receptive to this idea. We'll talk further next week to explore this project's viability.
