confirm email has "invalid code 503" #170

If I'm right, this is the same issue I'm seeing.  Both on new account creation 
and on
subsequent email verification, there's an exception page ("whoa!..."), which 
seems to
imply that email sending is failing.

This seems to happen only when running on appengine, not on local install.

yes, this happens when running on google app engine.
