Thanks for this! However I don't think paid services are in the spirit of the project in helping people get up to speed with PHP quickly. Happy to reconsider but leaning towards closing this.

I saw recommendations for MAMP and thought that commercial software could also be recommended. ServBay offers users a lifetime free version, supporting up to 5 hosts, with no differences from the commercial version in other aspects. Moreover, compared to the free version of MAMP, it supports SSL encryption, DNS management, and running multiple versions of PHP simultaneously, all for free.
