Description

The current deployment of CodeMetropolis on GitHub Pages utilizes outdated versions of Java and maybe tools. This can lead to a user or collaborator being misguided. Updating these components is crucial to maintaining the operational integrity of the GitHub Pages deployment.

Objectives

• Update Java Version: Upgrade the Java version to enhance performance, compatibility, and security.
• (If these exist) Update Tool Versions: Review and upgrade all tools involved in the deployment process to their latest stable versions. This includes build tools, plugins, and other dependencies.

Tasks

1. Identify Current Versions: List all current versions of Java and tools used.
2. Implement Version Upgrades: Update the tool and Java version descriptions to incorporate the new versions.

Expected Outcome

Successful update of all specified tools and Java to their latest versions on the GitHub Pages of CodeMetropolis.

MkDocs update

• MkDocs versions it the page code has been updated from version 1.5.3 to 1.6.0 after building the project.

• Improved Hyperlink Validation: Enhancements include support for absolute links understood as relative to the docs_dir root, improving the reliability of internal links.
