iPad iPadOS 13.1.2 - No handles to drag highlight select text #6031

Codemirror seems to be broken in the latest iPad iOS. No options appear to Select All, or any handles to highlight text for selecting code to copy, paste etc. Double tapping on a text just turns the text to a grey coloured background but you can't do anything with it.

Many thanks.

Hello,

Still broken in iPadOS 13.1.3 using with CodeMirror 5.49.2 on CodeMirror's actual homepage demo at https://codemirror.net/ but on a personal level it's happening in the Invision Community software AdminCP. This is a bit of a nightmare as I use my iPad most of the time and it's slowing me down being unable to work on plugins, themes and apps but as its the same on your own homepage it's helpful to rule out this particular integration.

Posted a quick screen recording if it helps... https://youtu.be/1pq7VVzo2V4

Thank you.

We have had some reports of this on CodePen as well. It's unclear what changed in iOS that caused this, but would definitely be helpful for our iPad users to be able to select specific parts of text and access the Copy/Paste menu.

Here's an example: https://d.pr/v/HpBMJk iOS 13.2 on the left, iOS 12 on the right

Hi there, This seems to have been fixed in the recent iPadOS 13.2.2 update. All my CodeMirror's seem to be working fine again.

Regards

Still seems to be broken for us. What version of CodeMirror are you running?

Same problem here with iOS 13.3
