Each lesson starts with a title slide and then describes what we will learn.
The problem when the slides are naïvely read is that the title might have some sense, but the Learning Objectives talks about a lot of weird things and it is unclear why it is important to learn them.
I have the feeling that adding a slide between the title and the objective can give an introductory motivation, what is the problem to solve, etc. Even if it might have been introduced 2 days ago, it does not hurt to do a recap. :-)
Yeah I think that's a good idea, so we would have a slide in each lecture which describes what we learned previously and how the current lecture builds on that, add some context to the learning objectives.
