Thanks a lot for bringing this up and for the good suggestions!
2) is being worked on or already done.
3) https://coderefinery.org/ -> Lessons (top navbar) - how can we make this more visible? Or is this not what you meant?
(I forgot to push 'send' yesterday:)
I just added a redirect coderefinery.github.io -> coderefinery.org. Hopefully that provides at least a little bit of first aid.
You are right we need to improve our communications in general. This is a good checklist of stuff to do, hopefully we will be able do most in the next week!
Implementation of (5) above:
There is coderefinery.org/lessons, but you have a good point about search engines treating coderefinery.org and coderefinery.github.io separately. Do links between the pages the link help enough to make this more prominent?
Current state:
The website has also gotten a major reworking which hopefully makes it more clear what we do. Maybe it needs more about why someone should build on what we have done, instead of re-building from scratch?
This was very important to fix but I consider it fixed now. Closing.
It is always a major undertaking even for myself (as a CR contributor and alumnus instructor) to find the CR materials, info, etc. whenever I need something. 🤯
Then it is no surprise that most of the European scientific community has no idea about CR, and even if they hear about it, they can't find reliable info 😥 (In 4 words: "Severely counter-productive outreach")
Result: Projects to reinvent CR. For example here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1STVrPjk0djjavBIYIderU2rvD0lPXuHodey4O5KK6qU/edit# (PLEASE JOIN!!!! Form here. I wish I had some capacity myself☹)
Concrete issues, or points to fix asap:
After years of suffering (with all these frustrations inside me), and now after seeing a project for reinventing CR, a had to finally speak up🐙😉
