Just a comment to say that this is great! Thanks for the summary. My two cents: I can confirm that many of the listed things I have learned myself in previous jobs and Twitter outreach. I think the most important one is to develop measures: what do we want to achieve? More followers? More registrations coming from social media? More views on videos? If the goal is clear then the amount of work can be justified. One should spend at least one hour per day using social media so it is a commitment that costs but that can be justified by the goals. Finally: this does not mention the use of other events to promote own content. For example day of open science, advent calendars, various awareness weeks, relevant conferences hashtags, etc.

Perhaps one outcome of the kick-off event could be restructuring this from the current format to an actionable plan format, however that may be. Maybe more clear bullet points for the relevant sections?
