Hi @bamurtaugh š This is really up to @rylev But it might be a great idea to update the repo and then point to an official repo (so you keep the SEO traffic when/if the project is archived).
I unfortunately don't have the time to maintain this repo. This might be something @yoshuawuyts could help with though.
Hey guys just a friendly bump on this, Iām trying to set up a code space for Rust and this is the first result for a template. As a first time user to code spaces Iām not sure what the best template is for rust and if this is no longer the go-to Iād appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. Thanks!
I'm not an admin on the repo so I can't archive it, @rylev would you mind doing it?
 Hi @rylev, @mattetti, and @bnb - thanks so much for creating this repo! I'm a PM on the VS Code team working on things like dev containers, and it's always fantastic seeing more examples of dev containers and Codespaces š.
This repo is the top result for internet searches like "Codespaces rust template." I see it's been some time since it was updated, as it mentions a few things that have since changed, i.e. VS Codespaces is now just part of GitHub Codespaces and not a separate product or signup process, and the Remote-Containers extension has been renamed to Dev Containers.
As this is a top search result, I'd love to understand any potential plans for this repo. Would you be interested in me contributing a PR to update the content and/or link to other dev container examples, like https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-remote-try-rust and https://github.com/codespaces/templates? Or would you be interested in potentially archiving this repo if you're no longer interested in maintaining it?
Please let me know however I can help or provide more information. Thank you again!
