Fix automatic placement of modules on canvas #106

Currently, automatic placement can result in modules being placed
off-screen, even when there's still more than enough room in the visible part.

Change logic so that:
* module is placed on free space in viewport
* if no space is available, place it just outside, then reset the view so
that the whole network is visible
