An early game mod with new primitive devices, combustion machines, smelting mechanics, storage options, tools, torches, advancements, and absolutely zero GUIs -- with exception to the substantially complete, mostly illustrated, and charred guidebook.
Using Github's search function, I have not found anything a suggestion like this.

Pyrotech already has crystals and crystal chunks for redstone and quartz, but not for glowstone. Shame, because glowstone crystals would look rather good with the same block model used for redstone and quartz crystals. (And I dislike how vanilla's glowstone crystal structures look). They can be mined to give glowstone chunks, which are subsequently crushed on an anvil to give glowstone dust.
One thing I leave up to you would be whether these glowstone crystals are hanging from the ceiling like stalactites, or stand on the floor like stalagmites.
