Looks like there's some bleed over from the speedboost branch onto this one. Once speedboost is merged in though you can resolve most of that by running git merge master -X theirs on this branch.

yes, I based this entire PR on the speed-boost branch. If we could get your final approval on #21 I would love to finish this one up
