Numbered points (ordered list) not displaying in question in Safari #982

Describe the bug Raised in a comment on Math Codidact:

I just noticed that the paragraphs numbers don't display in Safari (in Chrome the post looks fine).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. View the mentioned answer in Safari
  2. See no numbers on the paragraphs
  3. View the history to see that the markdown contains a number before each paragraph

Expected behavior The numbers in the markdown should render as a numbered list, as the user states is the case in Chrome, and I can confirm is the case in Firefox.

I don't have access to Safari so I haven't reproduced this myself. Does anyone with Safari want to check this?

I have reproduced with Safari (Mac desktop; don't have a mobile version).

Same issue as #787

::marker is not supported on webkit.
