I think it's worth looking into things like:

Standardizing use of GitHub issues.
- Use the assignees feature to record who's working on what.
- Reviewing issue labels/projects/milestones and setting it up to suit the project,
Considering use of tools like Kanban boards.
Writing a CONTRIBUTING.md file.

(needless to say, this issue comes from my realization that I'm kinda haphazardly writing issues and idk maybe this could be done better or smth)

a whole year later, im currently working on this. You'll see theres a project in this repo now. I think it will be iterative as we go and learn.
