In recent years, there has been growing interest in the relationship between equality and personal achievement. Some people believe that individuals can achieve more in egalitarian societies. Others believe that high levels of personal achievement are possible only if individuals are free to succeed or fail according to their individual merits. What is your view of the relationship between equality and personal success? In my opinion, an egalitarian society is one in which everyone has the same rights and the same opportunities.

审题：看完题目不知道从和下手，“个人成就”和“公平”有冲突吗？感觉就是两码子事，题目的两个观点:1-在公平社会个人可以获得更多成就;2-每个人根据自己优点自由的成功或失败可以获得更大成就？？？第二个观点实在不懂在讲啥。要写的话还是直接认同第一点好了。

不知道怎么写Plan了。。 先看范文

看完范文，感觉第二点的“individual merits”应该是“个人背景优势”的意思，比如“wealthier”, "privileged backgrounds". 范文也是按同意第一点来写，作者把公平社会转化成“权利”和“机会”的公平，在一开头就先挑明了，这样显然比较好写！

1. 在我看来公平社会是“权利”和“机会”的公平，所以我完全同意在这样的社会里可以获得更多成就。
2. 教育是个人成就的重要因素：小孩应该免费上学，高等教育应该让想要深造的人负担的起 -> 没有这些，只有富裕家庭能获得好的教育，这对别人的前景是有害的
3. 权利和机会的公平不影响成败：不会影响成功的动力，没有不允许失败 -> 相反，公平社会会有更多的动力激发潜能->不努力的人就只能浪费机会->不公平的话会削减动力因为只有有背景的人才更可能成功。
