Dear Jinxin,
Great to see that you have found the interface on GitHub! Right now I am on holiday, I will be back January 28. Once back home I will have a look at your questions! Sorry for the delay, I do not have my laptop with me and I cannot check the code.
Short notice: I have had a look at your comments on GitHub, it seems that the code works until the execution of the MATLAB code. It seems that you started the simulation, but that MATLAB and FAST.Farm do not communicate with each other. They can communicate with the 'receive' and 'send' function (see paper or thesis).
Kind regards, Coen

Dear Coenjan,
I apologize for the interruption, but I am currently working on learning the co-simulation of FAST.Farm and MATLAB. I have encountered some issues and have detailed them in the following GitHub issue: ValentinChb/FASTFarm2Simulink#1 https://github.com/ValentinChb/FASTFarm2Simulink/issues/1.
After reading your master's thesis, I attempted to incorporate farm-level and turbine-level controllers in "SC_MATLAB.m." However, despite my efforts, I have been unable to run the program successfully. The simulation seems to stall at 0 to 1000s, and I am uncertain where the issue lies.
I am also contemplating whether it is necessary to use "FAST.Farm_x64.OMP.exe" to run the case. When attempting to execute this file on my computer, I encountered an error, preventing successful execution.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance and expertise on this matter. Your assistance in troubleshooting the problem or providing insights into the correct usage of "FAST.Farm_x64.OMP.exe" would be invaluable to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message, and I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Dear Coenjan,
Thank you very much for your prompt response! I received your message and am truly grateful. I am eager to delve into the details of your master's thesis in the coming weeks, aiming to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the framework structure and code implementation for co-simulation. I will make every effort to address any issues that may arise during my study and strive to achieve a deeper level of comprehension independently.
Nevertheless, I recognize the complexity of this topic, and if you find some free time in the future to provide me with a few pointers or guidance, I would greatly appreciate it. Your professional insights would be invaluable to me.
Once again, thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
Dear Jinxin,
I am back from holiday, are you able to use the interface yet? Otherwise, we could plan a video meeting next week. Are you for instance available on Saturday (February 3)?
Kind regards, Coen

Dear coenjan, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for taking the time to respond amidst your busy schedule. Currently, I am diligently addressing and incorporating the feedback received on a manuscript, hence the temporary diversion from my previous interface research. I have also benefited from valuable insights provided by Dr. Valentin, who highlighted potential issues that warrant further exploration. Following the completion of my responses to the review comments, I intend to resume my focus on interface research.
Your patience in suggesting a video meeting is greatly appreciated. I must admit, however, that my proficiency in spoken English is not as strong as I would like it to be. Consequently, I am concerned that a video meeting might not facilitate effective communication. To avoid inconveniencing you and to ensure efficient dialogue, I prefer to continue our communication through email. Or may I record a video for you, if I need to ask your advice in the future?
Once again, thank you for your patient guidance, and I look forward to our continued collaboration.
Best Regards,
Dear coenjan,
Sorry for not replying to you for so long. Recently, I was responding to the review comments of a paper, so I did not continue to study this part of the content. Now, I am starting to study it again.
After running "RunTest. bat", the MPI_shared.dat file was immediately updated in the FASTFarm2Simulink-main folder; I changed the 4th line of the SC_input. dat file in the FASTFarm2Simulink-main\Test3WTs\OpenFAST folder to "../../MPI_shared. dat", which should correspond to "MPIshared. dat" in the FASTFarm2Simulink-main folder. However, the result of the program running is still the same as before, with time stopping at 0 of 1000 seconds, which looks like FAST FARM is not running:
The content in the stdoutSCClientSubs.txt document under the FASTFarm2Simulink main \ Test3WTs \ OpenFAST \ T1 \ ControlData folder is displayed as follows:
