This is a picture taken at an outdoor cafe. There are two women sitting across from each other at a desk. It looks like they are having a conversation. On the left, there is a woman with long blond hair. She is wearing a sleeveless top and short jeans. She is crossing her hegs while resting one arm on the table. On the right, there is another woman with curly hair. She is holding a straw to stir the liquid in her glass. On the ground, I can see a brown bag leaning against the table's leg. Behind the women, I can see the interior of the cafe.

This is a picture taken at a local market. On the left, there is a woman with long blond hair. She has a part of her hair tied into a small bunch. She is wearing a jeans jacket. She is carring a black bag on her shoulder. She is stretching her arms forward to receive a bag of corns. It looks like she is a customer, and standing in front of her is a merchant. In front of her, I can see some kinds of fruits displayed on ther counter.

Part 3 (15 + 15 + 30)

Topic: Clothing purchase

Imagine that a British firm is doing research in your area. You have agreed to participate in a telephone interview about clothing purchases.

Q: How often do you go shopping for clothes, and when was the last time you bought clothes? A: I go shopping for clothes once a month, and the last time I bought clothes was last week. I purchased a black dress to attend my colleague's wedding.

Q:Who do you usually go shopping with? Why? A: I usually go shopping with my friend. She has an eye for fashion, and we also have the same style in clothing. Therefore, she can give me good advice while shopping.

Q: Do you think there should be more clothing stores where you live? Why or why not? A: Currently, there are few fashion stores in my area, so they don't offer many items for me to choose. With many places, I can visit many stores to try on different outfits to choose the best and the most suitable for me. Therefore, I think there should be more clothiing stores where I live. I do not have to travel so far to go shopping.

Part 4 (15 + 15 + 30)

Topic: Summer Activity Guide

Hi, my name is George Wright. My family and I are planning to stay at your resort this June. Before we go, I'd like to get some information.

Q: I heard that you offer a hiking trip. When is this trip, and how much is it? A: Hello, I am so glad that you are interested in our hiking trip. This trip to Mt. Sandford will take place at 8:30 A.M. from Monday to Friday. It costs $10 per person.

Q: I'm interested in the cooking class but I heard that I have to pay extra for ingredients. Is that correct? A: Well, I'm afraid that your information is not correct. You have to pay $25 to join the cooking class. This amount includes the cost of ingredients, so you do not have to pay extra.

Q: Can you recommend any free activities we can do at the resort? A: Let me check the schedule... There are two complimentary activities you can attend while staying at the resort. First, that is Campfire at the Beach, which is held at 7:30 P.M from Friday to Sunday. Also, you can enjoy Movie Night, which takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 P.M.

Part 5 (60)

Topic: Educating children

Q: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The most effective method of educating children is to teach them one-on-one. Give specific reasons and details to support your opinion. A: I disagree with the statement that the most effective method of educating children is to teach them one-on-one because of the following reasons. First, learning alone with teachers can be bored. Learning with their friends can help children develop their social behavior and knowledge fully through interacting with their classmates. Children can know how to cooperate with others through group activities. Second, children can study more effectively with others because they can feel more comfortable. Sometimes, they feel under pressure if they learn one-on-one with their teachers. Due to above reasons, I don't think teaching children one-on-one is the most effective educating method.
