According to my student William Attie, the following commands were missing when installing cosima last week on a fresh ubuntu 16.04:
sudo apt-get install libffi-dev libeigen3-dev libxml-xpath-perl libyaml-cpp-dev libtinyxml-dev omniorb-idl omniorb-nameserver python-protobuf python-gi liblog4cpp5-dev
sudo apt-get install python-pip
sudo pip install --upgrade pip
sudo pip install sphinx-bootstrap-theme python-hwinfo prettytable argparse
