Cannot pair with songbird ubuntu

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I am using a Motorola Milestone running Cyanogen mod 7.
2.I unblocked all 3 ports you listed in the wiki, and installed the latest 
version of telescope.
3.I had to manually add my computer in the app exactly as specified. A window 
pops up on my phone saying my phone is in pairing mode and offers a pairing 
code but nothing happens on my computer. I have restarted songbird, my 
computer, and my phone to no avail. Also, I am running Ubuntu so there are no 
firewalls to deal with.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The phone connect with my computer. Nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version, on Ubuntu.

Please provide any additional information below.

I recommend also notifying the Songbird developer as he is a committer on this 
project and did some testing with TunesRemote+ against Songbird.
