Update README for master as default branch #112

I switched the default branch to master from develop, the idea being that we don't need a separate development branch for this project.

We'll need to update the README to avoid confusion. Open PRs can be switched to using the master branch as their base.

This means that merged PRs will immediately get deployed, once tests pass and assuming the following is configured properly:

Slightly unrelated but let's also delete .travis.yml which is not in use.
