monocle 2 or 3? #260

I just want to start a monocle analysis on a time-course single-cell RNA-seq data set. Wondering at the current stage, monocle 2 or 3 is more recommended. Many thanks for any suggestions.

I am using Monocle 3 and everything in the guide on the website works nice. Two important issues though: The BEAM functionality seems to be missing, and I can't find a nice way to export the generated branches (only the pseudotime value per cell).
