HTTP Error 400 #48

Since today, I'm getting following error:

Unable to download API page: HTTP Error 400: Bad Request (caused by <HTTPError 400: Bad Request>)

I noticed in https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/issues/11503 the issue might be related to oauth so I guess it makes sense to file a ticket here as well.

According to a comment on that issue oauth in yt-dlp is going away. Perhaps there is still room for this addon?

Their suggestion to use cookies works terrible.

I had exactly the same thing happen to me today, according to what I read, it's because you have downloaded too many videos and they have restricted your account. What I did was to use another account that I already had created, and everything went back to normal!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me today, according to what I read, it's because you have downloaded too many videos and they have restricted your account. What I did was to use another account that I already had created, and everything went back to normal!

No have try change other account. But still ERROR

They say that oauth is no longer recommended, better use cookies.

same problem here and the cookies don't take long every time I need to keep capturing them again

As noted upstream, YouTube is rolling out changes that break OAuth for yt-dlp. You should use cookies instead (which need to be exported in a specific way to remain working)

I have tried the specific way to export cookies from firefox with the "cookies.txt" extension. I can't seem to get it to work. All cookies seems to be lost after a short while and my "--mark-watched" flag doesn't have an effect.

Here it worked, get cookies in private mode in the browser.
